The Mercedes-Benz 190 was the gasoline powered variant of the W121 that was introduced in 1956. The 190 was only built from the factory in a four door sedan body style, but a coachbuilt station wagon by Binz & Co. was sold through Mercedes dealerships. Over the course of production, two evolutions of the 190 were were built, the 190 (1956-1959) and the 190b (1959-1961). The 190 was launched with Mercedes' M121 BI engine, which was a 1.9L inline four that generated 75hp.
The example offered here has been the passion of a true collector and hobbyist, who upon it's completion and some time for enjoyment, donated the 190 to a well known museum. upon his passing the estate approved the sale with the proceeds benefiting the museum.
It is accompanied with copious records, receipts and spares of varying condition.
