This is 'Serenity's' 1947 Willy's Jeep, named Walter.
"Walter" was named after the previous owner's grandfather who was a WWII Veteran. He starts & runs great. He's a little cold natured, but at 76 years old, that can be expected. Once Walter is warmed up, he runs great.
"Walter" was purchased by Serenitys family as a fun addition to her outreach & fundraising to help local Veterans in the Branson area. For 2 years 'Walter' has been to numerous Veterans events in the area drawing plenty of attention AND stories from Veterans. Veterans & civilians of all ages have enjoyed 'Walter' at parades, charity golf tourney's, charity galas, and even 3 days at the Daytona 500 Speedway'. Serenity's charity, “SERENITY HONORS” received a 501c3 status from the IRS. But, after a month of deliberation it was decided to let someone else add to 'Walter's' 76-year story and that 100% of the funds from his sale would go to 'Serenity Honors'. This will help Serenity continue her mission to help our Veterans & their families.
Serenity is now 10 years old. She started HER STORY in 2017 after the passing of her "PaPa" a Korean War Veteran. Since then, she has raised closed to $80,000 to help Veterans. Since her applying for and receiving her 501c3 status, she has had 3 missions. #1 was the Freedom Food Drive for Veterans where she almost doubled her goal of 4.1 tons of food by raising almost 8 TONS of food for our Veterans in need. #2 was to issue a $1000 scholarship for higher education to a local high school senior, the daughter of an Air Force Captain. #3 is to bring THE WALL THAT HEALS to the Springfield. MO community. The Wall That Heals is a 3/4 scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. and will be here in Branson June 8-11, 2023. for our Vietnam Veterans and the entire community.
