1970 Corvette #194670S400893
The design changes of the 1970 C3 were revealed on a show car known as the Aero Coupe. The aesthetic changes that were apparent to the naked eye, led onlookers to view a subtle transition in style. The designers wanted to take the Chevrolet Corvette from strictly Sports Car, to a Luxury Sports Car.
The 1970 C3 Corvettes' fender flares were designed into the body contours, egg-crate grills were added, replacing the previous four side gills. There were also matching front fender side vents and larger squared front directional lamps. The new rectangular exhaust pipe tips were recessed into the underside of the tail, a design concept inspired by the Mako Shark II and the seats were once again tweaked to add additional headroom.
In 1970, big block engines increased from 427 to 454 cubic inches and the powerful 370 HP LT1 small block engine made its debut. The Corvette presented here is a big block 454/390hp.
This 1970 Corvette in Mulsane Blue with dark blue vinyl interior featuring not only the big block 454 Cubic inch engine but the 4 speed synchro transmission as well. While bell bottoms were the rage, this car was The King. The VIN, engine block number, paint and trim code numbers are presented for your inspection. The styling is iconic, the performance exciting and the presentation inviting.
