A first place award was presented to the owner of this 1934 Auburn Phaeton 850 Y in 2014 at the annual ACD festival in Auburn, Indiana. Preceding that was the feature article in the 1988 Volume 4 edition of Automobile Quarterly when it was part of the impressive Dee Howard collection. In 2008 it was transferred to the knowledgeable hands of restorer of classics Ron Blisset where it received fresh paint, new interior, Haartz top and boot cover and a total, technically correct rewiring. All that plus extensive detailing before moving into a well known collection that now reluctantly offers it for sale.
Eighty nine years after it's inception this 1934 Auburn 850 Phaeton with the venerable Lycoming 280 engine
has an impeccable provenance, outstanding care and maintenance and a marvelous history as a full classic.
