Description

Pontiac's final-year Firebird Trans Am Collector's Edition represents one of the most significant modern-era American performance cars, produced only for 2002 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Firebird nameplate. With only 2391 built, and only 842 examples with a 6 speed transmission and T-Tops, the Collector's Edition has become one of the most sought-after fourth-generation F-body models, prized for its limited production, exclusive appearance package, and standard WS6 performance specification. The power train consists of an LS1 5.7L V8, rated at 325 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque (WS6 specification) with Functional Ram Air hood induction, High-flow exhaust, and Performance suspension and upgraded chassis components. Finished exclusively in Collector Yellow, the 2002 Collector Edition showcases a contemporary interpretation of Pontiac's classic “screaming chicken” motif, complemented by dual black racing stripes extending across the hood, doors, and rear quarters. The rear fascia features the distinctive two-tone yellow/black treatment unique to the edition, with Collector's Edition and Trans Am badging accenting the car's exterior. Black-painted WS6 17-inch wheels with machined faces, Black anodized brake calipers and black-finished axles all set this off from any other Trans Am. With only 13,000 miles (title reads exempt) on this highly sought after Trans Am, it will hold its value well for years to come, especially since this was the last year for the Trans Am! Sold on a prior rebuilt title.
