1937 Cord 812 Westchester
|Lot #: 564|
The 1937 Cord offered here is a Westchester model with a very rare bolt on trunk. Only one other Cord is known to have this option and it was built for E.L. Cords wife and had a leather interior. This car has the standard broad-cloth interior and it also has a rare radio head in the dash. The green color is unique and was exclusive for Cord. The interior is a darker two tone shade of green. This car was purchased by a car salesman that worked for Fred Jones Ford for 30 years in Tulsa Oklahoma. He purchased the car sometime in the 1960's and started a complete restoration using new old stock parts from the Auburn Cord Duesenberg factory in Broken Arrow. The restoration was completed in 1983 and the car was driven a little over 60 miles and then put into storage until this year. It has been checked over and detailed by the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Co. and is ready for a new home.
